Olanzapine is a serotonin and dopamine receptor antagonist with anticlolinergic properties that has  been in clinical use since 1996 as an antipsychotic drug. Adverse reactions include dizziness,  akathisia, postural hypotension, somnolence and agitation. Mania, neruoleptic malignant syndrome,  life-threatening hyperglycemia and hepatotoxicity have also been reported as complications of therapy.  A single oral labeled dose of olanzapine is eliminated, largely as products of biotransfromation, in the  urine (57%) and faces(30%) over a 4 day period, with about 7% of the dose appearing as unchanged  drug in the urine
