  • 【SUMMARY】

Quetiapine is a dibenzothiazepine derivative, structurally-related to clozapine, that has been used  clinically since 1997 as a neuroleptic agent in the treatment of psychosis. It is supplied as the  fumarate salt in 25-400 mg normal-release and 50-400 mg extended-release tablets for oral  administration. Adverse reactions include somnolence, hypertention, dizziness, dry mouth and  dyspepsia. A single labeled oral dose is eliminated, largely as products of biotransformation, in the  urine (73%) and feces (20%) over a 4 day period; less than 1% of a dose is excreted unchanged in  the urine
